Round 1, NorCal Floorball league - November 5^th, 2009

The first round of the NorCal Floorball league kicked off Thursday November 5th with team San Francisco and Mtn Wiew running of with strong wins. San Francisco executed the first game of the evening in style, Klas Berghed and Per Hyttfors combined with an incredible 25 points in a clear win by 18 - 5 against Cupertino FC. Notable in Cupertino FC was Derek Gerlach who was involved in all of Cupertinos goals with 2 goals and 3 assist.

Second game of the evening continued in the same fashion as the first game and team Mtn View Floorball dominated the game against Campbell FC and won by a clear 17 - 5 score.  Notable is that Mtn View never slowed than even though they had a 8 – 3 lead at half time the they were still able to win the second period 9 – 2 by a collective team effort with with all players contributing on the score board.

The third and last game of the evening was a battle between the two electronic giants Ericsson and Flextronics (Milpitas FC). Ericsson surprised Milpitas FC from the start and ran of with quick lead and had 6 – 2 at half time. Milpitas never recovered from this, but showed great ethic and team spirit in the second half of the game, by improving the final score by 10 – 4. Star of the game was Ericsson’s Gustaf Oscarson with five goals.
